Project Description

Little Caesars Arena (Formerly Detroit Events Center) The Little Caesars Arena, located in Detroit, Michigan, is a cutting-edge multi-purpose venue home to the Detroit Red Wings (NHL) and Detroit Pistons (NBA). With a seating capacity of 20,000 for hockey and 21,000 for basketball, the arena features an eight-story stadium built as a bowl, with the playing floor 40 feet below street level. This iconic venue hosts not only sports but concerts and events, contributing to Detroit's revitalization. The project posed significant challenges due to its complex design, large-scale steel structure, and coordination of various building systems.

Challenges

Placing HSS cladding supports along the elliptical perimeter was literally a challenge as it involved creation of around 2000+ construction circles to create vertical circular.

Upgrades

  • By creating over 2000+ construction circles, the cladding supports were placed accurately along the elliptical perimeter, ensuring a perfect fit for all components.
  • Zero Errors in Fabrication and Installation & Successful Collaboration

Upgrades

Sanria Engineering’s role in detailing and coordinating the cladding supports for the Little Caesars Arena was a resounding success. Through meticulous 3D modeling, precise sequencing, and close coordination with other vendors, the team was able to deliver high-quality results on time and without the need for rework. The project not only showcased Sanria’s engineering and modeling capabilities but also highlighted the importance of collaboration and advanced technology in delivering complex construction projects.
